Ruth - we welcomed you into our family when you married Michael in 1956 and have regarded you as a family member ever since. I know our parents had a great affection for you and we greatly admired your resilience in overcoming all the trauma and difficulties of your childhood to become the positive and and outgoing person you were. We regret that because of distance we have seen so little of you in recent years but enjoyed keeping in touch and spending time with you and Alfred on occasions and will miss that contact. Our thoughts and prayers are with Caroline, Mark and Nicky who will miss you so much more.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
